1.What Im Paharan is#
Im Paharan is an online platform where members sell to and buy from each other clothes, shoes, accessories and other items, new or second-hand.
We connect sellers and buyers, but we do not sell anything ourselves. The sale contract is concluded directly between the seller and the buyer, and Im Paharan is not a party to it. For the sale, the platform acts in the name and on behalf of the seller: it publishes the listing and passes on the order. The seller's name appears on every order.
The seller is responsible for the description, the condition and the handover of the item. Details are in the Terms of Use.
- For sellers: listing is free and the commission is 0%.
- For buyers: the item price, the service fee and, where applicable, the shipping cost. The total is shown before you confirm the order.
- Languages: Armenian, Russian and English.
2.How to sell#
Listing items is free, and we take no commission on sales: you keep the full price of the item.
- Sign up on the registration page. Only people aged 18 or over can use the site.
- Photograph the item in good light and from different angles. Photos must not show recognizable faces or other people's personal data.
- Describe it honestly: size, condition, color, material. Always mention every defect — stains, holes, signs of wear. The seller is responsible for defects that were not disclosed, even when the seller is a private individual.
- Choose the category and brand so buyers can easily find your item.
- Set the price in dram. The service fee is paid by the buyer; it is not deducted from your price.
- Publish the listing from the Sell page. Check that the item complies with the Catalogue Rules.
2.1Messages and offers#
Buyers can message you from the listing page (text and photos) and offer a different price. You accept the offer, decline it or make a counter-offer (a price between their offer and yours), which the buyer accepts or declines. Without a reply, an offer or counter-offer expires after 48 hours. Once an offer is accepted, the buyer has 48 hours to buy at that price.
- Reply as quickly and politely as you can.
- New offers, followers and reviews show up in your notifications (the bell at the top of the site).
- Never ask for or accept payment outside the platform (Terms of Use).
- If a message contains signs of a possible scam (a card number, a link to another site, an invitation to pay elsewhere, etc.), a safety warning appears: take it seriously.
- If a member bothers you, you can block them: no more offers or new conversations between you, and no more messages, except in your conversation while an order between you is still in progress, so that you can complete it. They are not notified. If they break the rules, also use the “Report” button.
- If something seems suspicious, read our safety tips.
2.2Shipping or hand delivery#
Once the item is sold, the order appears in My orders. What happens next depends on the delivery method the buyer chose:
- Haypost or courier: send the item, tap “Mark as shipped” on the order page and enter the tracking number. Ship within 7 days of payment; otherwise the order is cancelled automatically and the buyer gets the full amount back.
- Hand delivery (Yerevan): agree on a place and time with the buyer in messages. The buyer checks the item and confirms receipt at the handover.
2.3When you get paid#
The buyer's money is not transferred to you straight away: until the order is completed, it is held and shown in your wallet under the “Pending” balance. The item price moves to your “Available” balance:
- when the buyer confirms receipt, or
- automatically 3 days after shipping, if the buyer has neither confirmed receipt nor opened a dispute.
If the buyer opens a dispute, the money stays blocked until a decision is made (disputes).
In demonstration mode all amounts are fictitious: no real money is charged or paid out, and withdrawals are not possible.
3.How to buy#
- Find an item with search. Use the filters: category, brand, condition, size, price.
- Save what you like: tap ♡ and the listing appears in your Favorites. If its price drops, you get a notification (the bell at the top of the site). You can also follow sellers you like.
- Message the seller in Messages if you have questions about size, condition or handover. You can also send photos. If in doubt, ask for more photos.
- Offer your price with the “Make an offer” button. The seller can accept, decline or make a counter-offer, which you accept or decline. Once an offer is accepted, you have 48 hours to buy at that price; without a reply, an offer expires after 48 hours. Listings of professional sellers offered in several sizes have a fixed price: choose your size, then buy.
- Tap “Buy now” and choose the delivery method: hand delivery (Yerevan), Haypost or courier. Enter the delivery address if needed.
- Check the summary. Before confirming, you see the item price, the service fee, the shipping cost and the total.
- Confirm the order. It appears in My orders, where you can follow its progress.
How the service fee is calculated and what shipping costs: see Service Fee and Prices. The steps for placing an order and correcting input errors are described in the Terms of Use.
Flash sales. A verified professional seller may reduce prices for a limited time. The listing then shows the reduced price, the crossed-out price, the percentage of the reduction and the end date of the sale. The crossed-out price is the lowest price of the item during the previous 30 days, so the reduction is real. When the sale ends, the previous price comes back; you pay the price shown when you confirm the order.
Pay only through Im Paharan. If you pay the seller directly, no order is created on the platform and you cannot open a dispute.
4.How an order works#
The order status is always shown in My orders. With Haypost or courier delivery, an order goes through these steps:
- Paid. You have confirmed the order. The money is held and not yet transferred to the seller, and the item is taken off sale.
- Shipped. The seller sends the item and enters the tracking number. If the seller does not ship within 7 days of payment, the order is cancelled automatically and you get the full amount back, service fee included.
- Confirming receipt. When the item arrives, check it and tap “Confirm receipt”. If something is wrong, do not confirm — open a dispute instead.
- Completed. Once you confirm, the seller gets paid. If you do nothing, the order is completed automatically 3 days after shipping. After completion, both sides have 7 days to leave a review.
Check the item as soon as it arrives. If the parcel has not arrived within 3 days of shipping, open a dispute before the order completes automatically. Once an order has completed automatically, you can no longer open a dispute on the site, but your legal rights remain (Buyer rights).
4.1Hand delivery#
Hand delivery is free and available in Yerevan. Agree on a place and time with the seller in messages.
- Check the item carefully at the meeting.
- If everything is fine, tap “Confirm receipt” right there — the seller then gets paid.
- If the item does not match the description, do not confirm receipt; open a dispute instead.
- Hand-delivery orders are not cancelled automatically. If the meeting does not happen, open a dispute or write to the team (“Help” → “Write to the team”).
- Meet in a busy, safe place (safety tips).
5.If something goes wrong: disputes#
If the item has not arrived, is damaged or differs significantly from its description, you can open a dispute on the order page in My orders with the “Open a dispute” button. You can open a dispute:
- for shipped orders — after the item has been shipped and before you confirm receipt;
- for hand delivery — before you confirm receipt.
Once a dispute is open:
- the money stays blocked: it is not transferred to the seller and is not released automatically;
- Im Paharan reviews the order and the information the parties provide themselves: photos, tracking number, explanations, excerpts of their conversation;
- a decision is made: a refund to the buyer or payment to the seller.
With a refund, the buyer gets back everything they paid: the item price, the service fee and the shipping cost.
We never read private messages on our own initiative; we only review what one of the parties chooses to provide.
If you disagree with the decision or want to complain about Im Paharan's service, see Complaints and Disputes: it explains the time limits, mediation and going to court.
6.Reviews#
After an order is completed, the buyer and the seller have 7 days to review each other: a rating from 1 to 5 (required) and, if you wish, a comment.
- Only participants in a completed order can leave a review: you cannot leave one without an order.
- Each participant can leave one review per order.
- Reviews are revealed together: you see the other person's review only once you have left yours, or after the 7 days. You can edit your review for 24 hours, as long as it has not been published.
- A review may not contain contact details (phone number, email address, link, card number): such a review is refused.
- The person reviewed can reply publicly, once.
- If the buyer leaves no review within the 7 days and the order went through without a dispute, the seller receives an automatic 5-star review; if an order is refunded because the seller did not ship it in time, the seller receives an automatic 1-star review. Automatic reviews are labeled as such.
- Reviews appear on the member's profile (average rating, breakdown of ratings, role as buyer or seller, item concerned) and help others choose a reliable seller or buyer.
- Be honest and respectful: no insults, personal data or advertising. A review that breaks the rules can be reported with the “Report” button.
How reviews are collected and displayed: How Listings Are Ranked. All the rules: Terms of Use.
7.Paid options for sellers#
If you want more people to see your listings, you can use paid options. They are optional: you can sell without them.
- Bump: the listing appears in the top positions in search and on the home page — for 3 days (300 ֏) or 7 days (600 ֏).
- “Wardrobe spotlight”: your wardrobe is shown for 7 days in the “Wardrobes in the spotlight” section of the home page (1 500 ֏).
- Professional sellers (Pro, Shop): a verified status, free during the launch period, with free bumps every month (who is selling).
Every paid placement is always labeled “Ad”, so buyers can see that it has been paid for. Paid options do not change the item price or the buyer's rights.
Prices and conditions: Service Fee and Prices; ranking rules: How Listings Are Ranked.
In demonstration mode, payment for these options is simulated: no real money is charged.
8.Who is selling: a private individual or a professional seller#
There are two kinds of sellers on Im Paharan:
- Private individual: a person selling their own personal items that they no longer use. No badge appears next to their name.
- Professional seller: an individual entrepreneur or a company selling as part of a business, whose details Im Paharan has checked. A “Pro”, “Shop” or “Official shop” badge appears next to their name, and the listing page and the profile show a “Professional seller” box with the business name, tax ID (HVHH), state register number, address and contact details.
The law requires the platform to show whether a seller is a professional (Law of the Republic of Armenia “On Protection of Consumer Rights” (HO-197), Article 37.2).
If you sell items not occasionally but as an activity (for example, you buy items to resell them, or you regularly sell new items), you must be registered as an individual entrepreneur and issue electronic receipts (Law of the Republic of Armenia “On Trade and Services” (HO-134-N of 24.11.2004), Article 15.1(4)). In that case, apply for Pro status on the Pro sellers and shops page (Terms of Use).
Your rights as a buyer depend on whom you buy from. A private individual is responsible for defects they did not disclose. When you buy from a professional seller, consumer protection rules also apply — for example, the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days, subject to the exceptions set by law. Details: Buyer rights.
How to become a professional seller:
- On the Pro sellers and shops page, choose the level (Pro, Shop or Shop Premium) and the legal form (individual entrepreneur, LLC or other).
- Fill in the business details: name, tax ID (HVHH), state register number, registered address, representative, phone and email.
- Upload an extract from the state register issued less than 3 months ago and an identity document of the representative. Documents are encrypted and only the administrator can open them (Privacy Policy).
- Accept the Pro and Shop terms and send the application. We usually check it within 1–2 working days.
The status is free during the launch period. Limit on listings online at the same time: Pro — 100, Shop — 1000, Shop Premium — no limit. Details: Service Fee and Prices.
9.Demonstration mode#
Im Paharan currently runs in demonstration mode, as the notice permanently displayed on the site reminds you. During this period:
- no real money changes hands: nothing is charged and nothing is paid out;
- orders, payments, wallet balances and paid options are simulated;
- withdrawals are not possible;
- a demonstration order does not oblige anyone to pay or to deliver.
Real payment will be introduced later, through a licensed bank or payment institution. Before that, we will publish a new version of the terms with the rules for payment, holding funds and paying sellers. To use real payment, you will need to accept that new version.
