1.What we will never ask for#
The Im Paharan team will never ask you for any of the following — not by email, by phone, in messages or in messenger apps. An honest buyer or seller won’t ask for them either:
- your password
- codes received by SMS or in an app (login, confirmation or banking codes)
- your bank card number, its expiry date, the CVV/CVC code or the PIN
- to pay outside the site: by bank transfer, card-to-card, e-wallet or payment terminal
- to send a photo of your passport, ID card or bank card in a message
- to install any app or program, including remote-access software
- to follow a link to “receive the money”, “confirm the payment” or “arrange delivery”
If someone asks you for anything on this list — even if they claim to work for Im Paharan, a bank or a delivery service — it is a scam. Don’t reply, don’t follow the link, and let us know at support@impaharan.am not yet active.
2.Buy and pay on the site only#
Always buy on the site, from the item page. That way the order is recorded, you see the price, the service fee, the delivery cost and the total before you confirm, and you can open a dispute if something goes wrong.
- Never send money directly to the seller — by bank transfer, card-to-card, e-wallet or payment terminal.
- Don’t move the conversation to WhatsApp, Telegram, Viber or other messengers to pay or to do a “quick deal”. Im Paharan cannot see a deal made outside the site and cannot help if there is a dispute.
- Discuss everything about the item in the site’s messages. If there is a dispute, you can use them as evidence.
- If the other person insists on paying outside the site, that is one of the most common signs of a scam.
The site is currently running in demonstration mode: no real money changes hands, orders and payments are simulated, and a demonstration order creates no obligation to pay or deliver. So if anyone asks you for real money for an Im Paharan order right now, it is a scam. The rules for real payments will be published before they are launched.
The payment rules are set out in the Terms of Use.
3.Common scams#
Scammers often use the same tricks. Learn to recognise them:
- Fake payment or delivery link
- You are sent a link to “receive the money”, “pay for delivery” or “confirm the deal”. It leads to a fake page asking for your card details or an SMS code. You never need to enter a card’s CVV, its PIN or an SMS code to receive money.
- Fake website
- A link may lead to a site that looks like Im Paharan but has a slightly different address. Always check the address bar. Only enter your password on a site you opened yourself, not via a link in a message.
- Fake payment screenshot
- A buyer sends a screenshot of a “payment receipt” or a banking app and asks you to ship the item right away. A screenshot is not proof. Only trust the order status in your Orders section.
- Overpayment
- The other person claims they paid too much “by mistake” and asks you to send back the difference. In reality there was no overpayment. Never send money back outside the site.
- Advance payment
- A seller asks for a deposit to “reserve” or “hold” the item or to “pay for delivery”. Don’t pay any deposit outside the site.
- Fake courier
- Someone writes or calls on behalf of a delivery service or courier and asks you to pay for delivery or some “extra charge” via a link or a transfer. Delivery is paid together with the order, on the site. If in doubt, contact the delivery service on its official phone number.
- Price too good to be true
- A new or expensive item far below its value, often from a new account with no reviews. It may be a scam, a counterfeit or a stolen item.
- Pressure and urgency
- “Today only”, “be quick or I’ll sell it to someone else”, “pay now, I’ll explain later”. Scammers rush you so that you don’t have time to think. An honest seller will wait.
If you have already sent money or given your card details, call your bank immediately to block the card, contact the police (102) and let us know at support@impaharan.am not yet active.
4.Hand delivery#
Hand delivery is convenient, but it calls for care.
- Meet in a busy public place: a shopping centre, near a metro station, a café. Don’t invite a stranger to your home and don’t go to a stranger’s home.
- Meet during the day. If you can, bring someone with you, or at least tell someone close to you where you are going and who you are meeting.
- Arrange the meeting in the site’s messages so that everything is on record.
- Buyers: check the item before accepting it — condition, size, defects and, for electronics, that it works and is not locked.
- Buyers: confirm receipt on the site only once the item is in your hands and you have checked it. Once you confirm, the order is closed and you can no longer open a dispute.
- Sellers: ask the buyer to confirm receipt on the site during the meeting, once they have checked the item.
- Never hand over cash on top of or instead of the payment made on the site, and don’t agree to offers such as “let’s cancel the order, I’ll pay cash”.
- If anything makes you uneasy, end the meeting. Your safety matters more than the deal.
5.Sending a parcel#
If you are the seller:
- Pack the item securely so that it is not damaged in transit; wrap fragile items in extra soft material.
- Ship the item within 7 days of payment; otherwise the order is cancelled automatically and the buyer is refunded.
- Keep the post office or delivery service receipt and the tracking number until the order is completed.
- Mark the item as shipped on the site and enter the tracking number so that the buyer can follow the parcel.
- When sending an expensive item, photograph or film the packing.
- Don’t send items that may not go by post, such as flammable substances (see the Catalogue Rules).
If you are the buyer:
- When the parcel arrives, check it straight away. For an expensive item, film the unboxing.
- If the item does not match the description, is damaged or missing, don’t confirm receipt: open a dispute on the order page and attach photos. While the dispute is open, the money stays on hold and Im Paharan will review it.
- If everything is fine, confirm receipt.
Important: if you neither confirm receipt nor open a dispute within 3 days of the item being shipped, the order is closed automatically and the money goes to the seller. Keep an eye on the parcel and act in time.
6.Keeping your account secure#
- Choose a long, unique password — at least 12 characters, for example a phrase made of several random words. Don’t reuse a password you use on other sites or for your email.
- Use a password manager to store your passwords.
- Never tell anyone your password — not friends, not buyers, not “support”. Im Paharan staff cannot see your password and will never ask for it.
- Don’t let other people use your account.
- Log out after using a shared or someone else’s device.
- Secure your email too: anyone with access to it could try to get into your account.
- If you notice suspicious activity (listings, messages or orders you didn’t make), write to us at support@impaharan.am not yet active straight away and we will help you secure your account.
7.Your personal data and other people’s#
- Don’t publish your phone number, email address, home address or social media accounts in listings, on your profile or in photos.
- Give your delivery address only when placing an order, in the field provided for it.
- Don’t publish other people’s data: names, phone numbers, addresses, photos, documents, vehicle number plates.
- Don’t show faces in photos — neither yours nor anyone else’s — and don’t photograph children. When showing clothing being worn, crop the picture or cover the face.
- We remove photo metadata (such as GPS location) automatically, but whatever is visible in the picture (a street name, the view from a window, a document on the table) stays. Check the background carefully.
- Don’t send photos of your passport, cards or other documents in messages.

8.How to report a problem#
- Suspicious listing, member or message
- Write to support@impaharan.am not yet active with the link to the listing or profile and a description of what happened, and attach screenshots. A “Report” button will be added to the site.
- Immediate danger or a crime
- If you are in danger or have been the victim of a crime (fraud, theft, threats), contact the police: 102. Then let us know as well.
- Prohibited item
- What you can and cannot sell: Catalogue Rules and Prohibited Items.
- Problem with an order
- Open a dispute on the order page before confirming receipt. More details: Complaints and Disputes.
- Technical vulnerability
- If you have found a security vulnerability on the site, let us know as described on this page.
We look into every report. Urgent cases (children’s safety, weapons, drugs, danger to life or health) are handled within 24 hours.
Im Paharan does not read private messages on its own initiative. If a message from someone you are talking to is a problem, send us a screenshot of it so that we can act.
